Achille's Favorite

In celebration of what would have been our founder's 80th birthday
we present Achille's Favorite.

Achille Savinelli was born in Milan in 1918.
To Achille, pipes were a true passion. He designed, created and manufactured pipes that he loved and
smoked everyday. He had pipes of every shape and dimension imaginable, but some ultimately became
his true favorites.

One of his favorite series was the 'Sea Coral-Capri' which he cherished for it's lightness in
weight, it's unique finish and for the extra pleasure he experienced in smoking them. The well balanced
classic shapes were his personal favorites.

And so it is that in 1998 we introduced the first shape in a limited series with all of the
characteristics Achille himself would have chosen for his personal pleasure.

We are hopeful that this series will impart to you, our friends and fellow pipe smokers
the same pleasure and satisfaction that it gave to it's inventor.

SEA CORAL
Of the three finishes available, the 'Corallo' finish shown above is the rarest in that for every
one Corallo there are four Russet or Black 'Capri' versions produced.
Now keep in mind that the 'Capri' versions start out as a Corallo in its natural unstained state.
However, if there is the slightest color variance on any part of the pipe, it is then stained
using only vegetable colorings in either Russet or Black. This process does not change any of
the special characteristics of the pipe, other than the color.

The entire series is extremely limited and only one production run was initiated for this celebration.

CAPRI BLACK
Each Achille's Favorite comes in a hand made Erable wood inlaid presentation box with a certificate
of authenticity signed by Giancarlo Savinelli. Each Sterling Silver band has a serial number engraved
on it which matches the registration number on the pamphlet included with pipe.
The box has a removable insert with chamois interior allowing box to be used for jewelry etc.

CAPRI RUSSET

A second shape favored by Achille Savinelli may be forth coming in the near future, also
in a very limited production offering.
